When I was a young teen, I collected insects as a hobby. I mostly caught butterflies and moths, but I had a few beetles, bees, wasps, and others. As I got older, I decided that I liked observing live insects more than putting them in a display case. I still enjoy watching them.
When I was a kid, I was pretty scared of all types of insects, even butterflies! But then, I found them to be interesting little creatures :) I love taking photos of bugs, I'll probably post some photos later. Anyway, cockroaches still scare me D: and I won't go too close to a bee or a wasp either!
I hate roaches too! One time a roach flew right into my face. It really startled me and I felt horrified! I am careful around bees and wasps because I am allergic to their sting, but I sometimes observe them very closely. I just move slowly and don't touch them and they ignore me.
